Distribution of learning materials to 5000 vulnerable children in some hard to reach / Crisis affected areas in the South West Region of Cameroon..
The socio-political crisis of Northwest and Southwest regions of Cameroon have been ongoing since 2016. Schools have unfortunately been one of the main targets during this crisis. During the 2021-2022 academic year, 66% of schools in both regions were still closed, and for the 2022-2023 school year, 54% of schools still remain closed; caus-ing the displacement of about 200,000 school-aged children, most of who remain out of school. The education cluster which has been activated since 2018, continues to respond to the emergency education needs of both displaced and host community children.
